The Leaning Tower of Pisa (La Torre di Pisa) is undoubted Pisa's number one claim-to-fame. Construction of the 200 foot tall tower began in 1173 and continued, off and on, for two hundred years. The tower has been leaning since it was erected. It is currently 5 degrees off vertical.
Visitors can climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa for the hefty price of €15. For a similar view at a lower price, consider climbing the Baptistery Dome instead.
